About the Recipe


Ingredients for preparing chicken: 1. Half kg chicken qeema (ground chicken)

2. Half cup oil

3. 1 small to medium size onion chopped

4. 1 tsp salt

5. 1 tsp black pepper

6. 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste Ingredients for cheese bread:

1. A loaf of French bread

2. Half cup chopped green onions

3. Half cup black olives

4. Half cup mayonnaise

5. Half cup butter (room temperature)

6. Half tsp chili flakes

7. 320 grams mozzarella cheese (1 pack)


How to Prepare:

1. Add half cup oil in a pan and let it warm. Once warm, add onion and let it sauté.

2. Next add ground chicken and ginger garlic paste. Stir it 2 – 3 times and cover it with the lid.

3. After 3 minutes, remove the lid and add salt, black pepper, cumin and coriander powder and stir it. Cover it with the lid again. It should be cooked on medium to low heat. Chicken will release its moisture.

4. Remove the lid and mix the chicken every 5 – 7 minutes so that chicken doesn’t stick to the bottom.

5. Once chicken changes color and there is little bit water left, taste and add salt if needed. Let it simmer for 3 – 5 minutes or until oil rises to the top. Chicken is ready! (let it cool down a bit before adding it in the bread mixture)

6. In a bowl mix butter and mayonnaise. Add green onions, black olives, chili flakes and chicken. Mix it using a whisk or spatula.

7. Take the French bread loaf and cut it in half (horizontally :P).

8. With the spoon or spatula, spread mixture on the bread.

9. After spreading the mixture, add cheese on top (like you would on a pizza).

10. Preheat oven to 320 degree Celsius and put the bread in the oven.

11. Bake it for 30 minutes or until cheese melts. Ta da! your yummilicious chicken cheese bread is ready!


You can prepare the bread and wrap it with cling wrap before baking, for using it later.
